Quality Assurance Specialist Position (QA):

Qualifications

The preferred candidate should have QA experience with a Mental Health Agency. Ideal candidate should have the capability of exercising sound judgment and rational thinking under varied circumstances; ability to think and act quickly in emergencies; ability to hear and communicate orally; requires sufficient hand/eye coordination to perform semi-skilled repetitive movements, such as typing, data entry, filing, lifting and auditing Individual’s records and/or use of other office equipment or supplies.

Ideal candidate will also possess a minimum of a bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university and some clinical experience and/or sound knowledge of mental health.

· Ensure timely submission of all required documentation

· Ensure that clinical documentation meets requirements set forth by Department of Medical Assistance Services (DMAS), Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services, Managed Care Organizations (MCO) and Human Rights

· Facilitate clinical trainings and workshops for staff

· This position is responsible for ensuring compliance of all rules and regulations from governing bodies.

· Develop, coordinate and manage quality management and regulatory compliance functions

· Oversee utilization review, confidentiality of records and peer review in accordance with state requirements

· Plan and execute regular and periodic audits and internal reviews of operations

Job description

Royal Family Community Services is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Specialist (QA) to provide quality review and compliance in accordance with Department of Medical Assistance Services and Department of Behavioral Health and Developmental Services. This position is responsible for ensuring compliance of all rules and regulations from governing bodies. Specifically, the role of QA is to:

Experience in maintaining mental capacity which allow the capability of exercising sound judgment and rational thinking under varied circumstances; ability to think and act quickly in emergencies; ability to hear and communicate orally; requires sufficient hand/eye coordination to perform semi-skilled repetitive movements, such as typing, data entry, filing, lifting and auditing Individual’s records and/or use of other office equipment or supplies.
