IT Quality Assurance Process Consultant develops quality assurance, compliance, and implementation plans for individual IT functions that support the organization's overall service and software quality standards. Advises function leaders on best practices for the deployment of QA methodologies and processes. Being an IT Quality Assurance Process Consultant designs and incorporates plans for each function that drive quality service and product deliverables. Establishes a performance monitoring program and designs metrics that can be used to identify quality issues, analyze problems, and develop quality improvement initiatives. Additionally, IT Quality Assurance Process Consultant trains staff on quality concepts, objectives, tools, and processes. Requires a bachelor's degree. And typically reports to a director or head of a department. The IT Quality Assurance Process Consultant works autonomously. Goals are generally communicated in "solution" or project goal terms. May provide a leadership role for the work group through knowledge in the area of specialization. Works on advanced, complex technical projects or business issues requiring state of the art technical or industry knowledge. Key Job Elements
- Responsible for leading QA team on daily basis;
- Troubleshoot issues and provide recommendations for resolutions;
- Manage QMS to ensure facility and operations comply to standards;
- Monitor daily QMS operations and communicate with key stakeholders regarding quality;
- Work with design team to implement corrective actions and improve process and overall product;
- Coordinate with supplier team to manage quality and responsible for vendor communication;
- Work with program teams to complete product launches on schedule;
- Regular interaction with customer and maintain customer issues logs;
- Contribute and assist in the development of Quality Control plan;
- Understanding of ISO 9001 standards and practices.
Education / Training
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related field;
- Master’s degree preferred.
Qualifications and Experience
- 5 years’ experience managing a QMS;
- Experience in auditing and equipment inspection preferred;
- Experience with manufacturing and production processes and principles;
- Experience problem solving in a manufacturing environment;
- Excellent communication skills;
- Experience working with internal and external customers;
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office applications;
- Statistical analysis and quality assurance skills.
