Perform Air International, Inc. seeks an experienced and motivated candidate to fill our Quality Assurance Manager position.
Duties/Responsibilities:
The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible to the Director of Quality and will interact with internal production management, external representatives from the US FAA and Department of Defense (DoD) and Foreign Military Sales (FMS) departments, Domestic and Foreign Air Carriers, and similar domestic and international organizations. The successful candidate will lead a team of people in a dynamic environment to meet quality, cost, safety, and delivery requirements and perform as the quality system management responsible representative. This individual maintains the Quality Systems Manual (QSM), ISO and CASE 1A certifications and regulatory requirements required by the FAA, EASA, UK/CAA and CAAC. The Quality Assurance Manager will coordinate with the FAA’s local representatives regarding activities for approval processes, changes of operations specifications and/or applicable manual changes. This individual will develop and maintain certification required by various domestic and international governmental agencies. They will analyze organizational quality metrics and perform managerial reviews to evaluate results and recommend action plans. The Quality Assurance Manager will ensure compliance with quality objectives such as customer satisfaction, vendor certification and effectiveness of the corrective action / preventative action (CAPA) measurements. They will manage internal/external audit, document control, and training for departmental staff members. The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for departmental workforce planning and talent management to ensure the efficient operation of the Quality Assurance team. The Quality Assurance Manager will develop a work environment that fosters open and honest communication by actively engaging the workforce and will demonstrate a keen ability to prioritize and appropriately delegate responsibility while maintaining accountability.
The Successful Candidate will bring to the table:
- U.S. Citizenship
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in Aerospace MRO, or Aerospace Manufacturing, Quality Management position
- Airframe and/or Powerplant License holder or prior Mechanics Certificate holder is a preference
- Prior service Veteran is a preference
- Be a critical thinker who can exhibit decisiveness, prioritization and leadership skills
- Have excellent communication skills
- Be comfortable working in a team environment
- Exhibit attention to detail and organizational acumen
- Have a history of doing what they say they will and completing assignments on-time and on-budget
