This position is full-time, day shift and flexible as needed for production coverage. The QA Manager is responsible for daily/weekly/monthly monitoring and testing of all raw materials and finished product. Responsible for QA Manager duties, including but not limited to training Quality Assurance Technicians in job tasks and verifying that all testing, calibration and documentation are correct. Responsible for ensuring that sanitation's are performed and documented.
Summary of Responsibilities:
This position oversees daily line checks by the QA Tech, microbiological testing on each variety of finished product and any additional requested product analysis including product complaints, product studies, tank analyses and others. Inspects and files daily production line reports, logs, quality check and pallet counts. Maintains SQF documents. Handles Vendor issues. Weekly preparation of production and quality forms. Oversee weekly and annual product sampling for independent lab microbiological analysis. Oversee quarterly cap and bottle microbiological testing and logs to ensure compliance. Function as Plant Practitioner, monitor and maintain regulatory compliance for all Federal, State and local laws pertaining to food production and monitor activity for same through the IBWA and inform owners of changes effecting the industry. Safety Coordinator for facility.
Qualifications for Quality Assurance Manager:
Bachelor of Science in chemistry, biology, food science or related course study degree is required. Master of Science preferred.
1 yrs. of Supervisory experience is required. 2 years preferred.
Specialized knowledge of HACCP, and IBWA standards preferred.
Bottled Water Operator certification preferred or to be obtained in position.
Preventive Control Qualified Individual (PCQI) desired.
Quality Control experience in the manufacturing/warehouse/production industry of beverage or food.
Physical Requirements include by are not limited to:
Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull, transport up to 70 pounds. Standing, walking, bending, squatting, lifting, twisting. Able to work in a non-climate-controlled manufacturing environment, temperatures can reach up to 110 degrees.
