    Position Overview 

    Verra Mobility is seeking aQuality Analyst to contribute to the development and support of our future and existing technology products.  This position will support the project team throughout the SDLC with a variety of activities including requirements analysis and quality assurance. This individual will collaborate with Software development leaders, other cross functional teams to create a stellar client experience offering best in class quality, customer support and new feature development 

    The ideal candidate is someone who had a solid knowledge of software quality engineering processes, is self-motivated and organized, and has a strong attention to detail. To be successful in this role, you must display robust interpersonal skills, have a high aptitude for technical learning. Be approachable and willing to engage quickly, multi-task efficiently, demonstrate discipline and initiative to consistently solve complex problems in a fluid, fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of composure, transparency, and professionalism during daily interaction with peers, customers, management, and external partners. This role will report to the Software Development Manager and help implement policies, processes, and procedures to ensure high quality outcomes and achieve communicated delivery goals. 

    Essential Responsibilities 

    • Quickly ramp up and gain relevant domain and technology knowledge. 
    • Work on sprints or tickets based on the priority from Product. 
    • Ensuring that sprint work maintains and even elevates our software's quality standards. 
    • Find and report defects with detailed, accurate and concise steps to reproduce. 
    • Ensure that testing activities allow applications to meet business requirements and systems goals, fulfill end-user requirements, and identify existing or potential issues before changes are placed in production. 
    • Validating reported defects and meticulously assessing feature requests for ticket quality. 
    • Collaborate with Developers, Development Managers, Business, Product Owners and other teams to ensure the highest quality of the product and provide accurate and actionable insight. 
    • Leveraging JIRA and Azure DevOps to record testing outcomes and monitor the development process. 
    • Maintain our Regression Suite for specific product domains, adhering to best practices. 
    • Has a keen eye for detail, enabling a thorough examination of software and the precise documentation and tracking of test plans. 
    • Exhibits strong written and verbal communication skills essential for documenting test plans, reporting defects, and collaborating with developers and other team members. 
    • Be involved in release management and CI/CD setups while integrate automated testing into Azure Pipelines to ensure quality build and deployment. 
    • Understand the effect of iterative development and release management processes dictated by an Agile Scrum environment. 

    Qualifications  

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science (or equivalent experience). 
    • 4-6 years hands-on experience in software Quality Assurance roles, with proficiency in manual and automated testing methodologies and general quality concepts. 
    • Experience in testing complex systems integration (End-To-End). 
    • Have a firm understanding of SQL or PL/SQL and relational database concepts and querying. 
    • Experience with Agile and Scrum and a proven ability to be effective in a cross-functional team-oriented environment, establishing solid work relationships with co-workers. 
    • Experience in writing clear, concise, and comprehensive test plans and test cases. 
    • Be able to proficiently meets project deadlines while successfully managing multiple test cycles simultaneously. 
    • The ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small-group situations to developers, business analysts, system users, and other employees. 
    • Has a great Problem-Solving Aptitude and demonstrate the ability to uncover the underlying causes of defects efficiently. 
    • A solid grasp of QA terminology, methodologies, tools, processes and best practices 
    • Exposure to agile methodologies 
    • Excellent understanding of software development lifecycle. 
    • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 

    Good to have Skills & Abilities 

    • Experience testing REST API’s. 
    • Experience creating and analyzing performance tests with tools such as JMeter. 
    • Experience with Automation Framework development and scripting software automation testing using Selenium. 
    • Experience with cloud technologies (AWS preferred).
