    Job Summary:

    The Project Automation and Programming Manager will play a key role in managing and implementing automation solutions for our clients in the Oil and Gas Industry. The successful candidate MUST have significant experience working with Delta V and Emerson applications, ensuring seamless integration with various facilities systems. They will collaborate closely with project teams, and stakeholders to deliver robust and compliant automation solutions that meet business objectives and regulatory requirements.

    Opportunity Details/Specifics:

    • 1099 or W2
    • Target Start: Early October 2023
    • Duration: Long-Term, 1 year/s
    • Location/Schedule: Hybrid; Remote and On-Site in Orla, TX o Anticipated to be on-site during commissioning phase of project, which is approximately 4 months per year. The other 8 months will be worked remotely.
    • Salary/Compensation: Competitive with package/offer specifics to be determined by employment type (open to 1099 or W2) and candidate experience. Potential offerings include medical benefits, per diem, 401k, PTO, etc.

    Responsibilities:

    • Collaborate with project team to understand their automation requirements, process workflows, and operational challenges.
    • Ensure designed automation solutions using Delta V and Emerson applications are implemented as designed, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulatory guidelines.
    • Lead the complete project lifecycle, including system architecture design, configuration, programming, testing, validation, and deployment.
    • Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, promoting knowledge sharing and best practices within the team.
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project managers, validation specialists, and quality assurance personnel, to deliver successful automation projects.
    • Stay updated with the latest advancements and best practices in automation technologies, particularly Delta V and Emerson applications, and propose innovative solutions to clients.
    • Lead project teams responsible for the programming.
    • Identify project change and report to Project Management.
    • Act as a liaison between the engineering project team, client management team, and operations.
    • Provide updates as to the status of programming implementation.

    Qualifications:

    • Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science, or a related field. Advanced degree or specialization in automation or pharmaceutical engineering is preferred.
    • Proven project management skills, with the ability to lead and deliver automation projects within scope, budget, and timeline.
    • Extensive experience in implementing and supporting automation solutions using Delta V and Emerson applications in the .
    • Strong programming skills in languages such as C#, VB.NET, or scripting languages

    (e.g., VBScript, PowerShell).

    • In-depth knowledge of automation concepts and technologies, including batch processes, recipe management, equipment control, and data acquisition.
    • Experience with system integration using standard protocols (e.g., OPC, MODBUS,

    SQL) and familiarity with database technologies (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).

    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with a keen attention to detail.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders at all levels.
    • Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team environment.

    Pay: $80,000.00 - $115,000.00 per year
