This individual manages and maintains various IT assets, including hardware, software, and network systems. The IT Coordinator will work closely with the IT team and other departments to support day-to-day operations, troubleshoot issues, and implement technology solutions aligning with organizational goals.
Job Description: The following are Key Responsibilities, which are additional duties during the school day that may be assigned.
Technical Support - Provide first-line support for all IT-related issues, assisting users with hardware, software, and network problems. Escalate complex issues to relevant IT specialists as needed.
Training and Development - Identify training needs and facilitate or conduct IT training sessions for staff to enhance their technology skills and knowledge.
Documentation - Maintain comprehensive documentation for IT systems, policies, and procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and accessible to relevant stakeholders.
Network and Security Monitoring - Monitor network performance and security, implementing measures to protect data, software, and hardware from potential threats.
Hardware and Software Management - Manage the procurement, installation, and maintenance of IT hardware and software, ensuring they meet organizational needs and compliance standards.
Vendor Liaison - Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for the acquisition and maintenance of IT products and services.
Backup and Recovery - Manage backup procedures and disaster recovery plans to ensure data integrity and availability in case of emergencies.
Inventory Management - Maintain an inventory of IT assets, tracking the status, location, and condition of hardware and software.
Qualifications: The IT Coordinator shall have:
Associate's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field or relevant, current experience.
Proven experience in IT support, network administration, or a similar role.
Strong knowledge of computer systems, networks, and commonly used software and hardware.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
Effective communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to nontechnical users.
Familiarity with IT security practices and data protection laws.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects
CompTIA A , Network , or equivalent certifications are preferred but not required.
This is a school-year position, with summer and school vacations off. It has a 30-hour work week at $35 per hour and full benefits.
