Overview
Project Coordinator responsibilities include working closely with internal and external stakeholders to prepare comprehensive action plans detailed with resource requirements, timeframes, and budgets for projects. This position will perform various coordinating tasks: schedule, track, maintain project documentation, troubleshoot, correspond with clients & other contractors, support project personnel, etc., to collaborate with clients, contractors, and internal teams to deliver results on deadlines. Overall, the Project Coordinator’s duties are to ensure that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and meet high-quality standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Interact professionally with co-workers, suppliers, subcontractors and customers in States where DSW is working

Expedite all preconstruction activities including:
-
Communication with the homeowner throughout the preconstruction process
-
Schedule Site walks with homeowner and field offices
-
Perform QC Review of Site Walk Documents and capture scope revisions
-
Review plans and scopes of work for structural and any other revisions as may be needed
-
Submit RFI’s to engineers
-
Order Elevation Certificates, surveys, site plans
-
Research HOA and Jurisdictional Building permit requirements
-
Submit building permit applications
-
Arrange for storage facilities and schedule homeowner moveout and utility disconnects
-
Update preconstruction schedules on Internet-based software
-
Maintain constant communication with field offices
-
Maintain electronic file management according to system policy
-
Record and track delays as per specific contract requirements
-
Work independently and within a team environment on special projects as needed.

A college education is preferred but not required
-
Previous experience in residential construction is preferred but not required
-
Disaster Recovery experience is a plus
-
1-3 years experience in a professional office setting expediting permits within cities and counties located in Texas, California, North Carolina, South Carolina and/or Florida is a plus

Excellent verbal and written communication skills

Microsoft Office skills, with an ability to become familiar with firm-specific programs and software

Coordinate project activities, resources, equipment, and information.

Break projects into doable actions and set timeframes.

Liaise with clients to identify and define requirements, scope, and objectives.

Work with internal teams and assist with schedule management.

Make sure that clients’ needs are met as projects evolve.

Help prepare budgets.

Work with sub-contracted teams and vendors.

Monitor project progress and handle any issues that arise.

Act as the point of contact and communicate project status to all participants.

Work with others to identify and eliminate barriers.

Use tools to monitor working hours, plans and expenditures.
-
Create and maintain comprehensive project documentation, plans and reports.
-
Ensure standards and requirements are met through conducting quality assurance tests.

Other duties as assigned.
Position Requirements:

Ability to prepare and interpret flowcharts, schedules, and step-by-step action plans

Solid organizational skills, including multitasking and time-management

Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities

Strong client-facing and teamwork skills

Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

Minimum of four years of experience
Desired Skills:

Proven work experience as a Project Coordinator or similar role

Experience with editing Adobe PDF documents
APMP Foundations certification Physical Demands:

Use of manual dexterity, tactile, visual, and audio acuity.

Use of repetitive motion, prolonged periods of sitting and standing, and sustained visual and mental applications and demands.

Occasional lifting (up to 25 pounds), bending, pulling, and carrying.
