Clover Leaf is looking for a Strategic IT Project Manager to join our growing team, on-site at a DOE national laboratory, in Amarillo, TX. We are looking for people who can work as part of a team and individually.
The IT Project Manager is responsible for leading and managing strategic IT projects from initiation to completion. Coordinates project teams, develops execution plans, and ensures successful project delivery within scope, schedule, cost, and quality constraints.
Key Responsibilities:
- Formulates project teams, develops execution plans, and sets project goals.
- Guides complex IT projects through the full life cycle, ensuring delivery within agreed-upon constraints.
- Creates and executes project execution plans, managing budgets and resources.
- Effectively communicates with project teams, resolving conflicts and addressing project issues.
- Develops and maintains comprehensive project documentation, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Briefs upper management regularly on project activities, cost, schedule, status, and technical performance.
- Participates in departmental management processes, including planning, budgeting, and scheduling.
- Contributes to procurement deliverables for external services and materials.
Minimum Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in engineering/science/information technology with at least four years of relevant experience, or Masters degree with at least two years of relevant experience.
- Proven experience in Microsoft Project and/or Primavera (P6) or equivalent tools.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within diverse teams.
- Strong interpersonal, time management, organizational, oral, and written communication skills.
- Understanding of risk management, risk mitigation, and contingency planning.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI).
Preferred Qualifications:
- SAFe Certification, Scrum Master Certification, Agile Project Management Certification, ITIL Foundations Certification.
- ServiceNow experience with Agile Development and Project modules.
- Proven ability to lead and manage multiple concurrent and complex IT infrastructure and/or application development projects within scope, time, and budget.
- Knowledge of project management best practices and processes.
- Familiarity with project lifecycle management and software development lifecycle.
- Leadership skills in managing multi-disciplinary teams.
- Experience in conflict resolution and agile project execution.
- Ability to evaluate project and process problems systematically.
