JOB SUMMARY:
- Participates in developing and implementing goals, objectives, policies, and priorities for the assigned unit; recommends appropriate service and staffing levels within departmental policy.
- Monitors work activities to ensure compliance with established policies and procedures.
- Supervises or serves as a project team leader for the most complex projects, including planning, organizing, and defining project requirements, methods, and end objectives in consultation with end users, coordinates project activities with team members, other section staff, user representatives, and outside vendors.
- Supervises the development and execution of test plans to ensure application performance conforms to specifications.
- Responds to and resolves escalated user inquiries and complaints and work with vendor representatives or managers to respond as needed.
- Supervises developing and maintaining user and technical operating instructions and documentation.
- Attends and participates in professional group meetings; stays abreast of new trends and innovations in information technology.
JOB REQUIREMENTS/QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge and experience regarding hospital settings.
Experience in at least four areas:
- Ancillary
- Ambulatory
- OR or ED
- In-Patient
- Cerner Applications
- Revenue Cycle/HIM
- IT Interfaces.
Knowledge of at least two of the following applications:
- eClinicalWorks
- PICIS
- Caduceus
- ATKS
- ServiceNow

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE:
- Bachelor's degree in information technology or related field AND five years
- Experience providing leadership in a multicultural, multidisciplinary workforce.
- Experience working in a healthcare setting, preferably government county health.
- Experience in lifecycle management from project through implementation and troubleshooting.
- Experience providing leadership in collaborative relationships among internal and external teams.
- Experience in the implementation of new application systems.
- Experience Advanced expertise working with electronic health records.
- Experience supervising staff responsible for providing direct application support and user training for Health electronic health record (EHR) system.
- Experience in providing consultation services to customers/end-users, with the ability to document business and technical problems and identify requirements.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with internal and external stakeholders to ensure needs are met.
LOCATION: San Mateo, CA - 2 days remote/3 days onsite or as needed
POSITION: 24 months
SALARY: $115K - $120K yearly
HOURS: (M-F) 8 AM – 5 PM
