Production Control Supervisor

Under the direction of the Supply Chain Manager, the Production Control Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing the staff and functions of Production Control. The PC Supervisor will evaluate the current company performance in alignment with customer delivery and supplier management; execute strategic direction for order prioritization; promote continuous improvement; develop and direct the activities of department staff.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Monitor incoming orders, customer deliveries and customer expedites.
• Manage and update master schedule.
• Manage internal communications with Manufacturing, Engineering, Sales and other support departments to effectively meet customer demands.
• Lead team of Production Control Expeditors and Admins to accomplish departmental goals.
• Set standard lead times for all contracted items; quarterly reviews of individual lead times for contracted items, as needed.
• Provide support for customer production readiness audits and other customer inquiries related to production planning.
• Direct and oversee release of production orders and materials from warehouse.
• Implement/execute production strategies that maximize on-time delivery and profitability.
• Provide support for Customer Service and Program Management requests.
• Efficiently resolve conflicting priorities of production requirements.
• Provide relevant support training to Production Control team.
• Support coordination of lean manufacturing and efficiency optimization activities from adjacent teams.

PREREQUISITE KNOWLEDGE, QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS AND EDUCATION:

• Bachelor Degree from 4 year accredited college desired.
• Must have minimum six months of related experience and/or training in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have excellent verbal and written English communication skills; ability to work from written and verbal instructions.
• MS Office; must have competent Excel skills and experience with MRP systems.
• Team leadership
