IT Procurement Manager

INCEED is partnered with a thriving retail company on an IT Procurement Manager opportunity. This individual will oversee the acquisition of all IT-related goods and services within our organization. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in contract negotiation, vendor management, and strategic sourcing within the IT domain. They will be responsible for ensuring cost-effective procurement processes while maintaining high-quality standards for all IT-related acquisitions.

Responsibilities:

• Vendor Management and Contract Negotiation:

  • Identify, evaluate, and negotiate contracts with software, network, and hardware vendors to secure favorable terms and pricing.
  • Manage vendor relationships, ensuring adherence to contract terms and service level agreements.
  • Continuously evaluate vendor performance and seek opportunities to optimize costs without compromising quality.

• Licensing Renewals and Compliance:

  • Monitor and manage IT licensing renewals to ensure compliance with legal and organizational requirements.
  • Develop and maintain a comprehensive licensing inventory, tracking renewals and expiration dates.

• Strategic IT Sourcing:

  • Lead the sourcing process for software, network, and hardware acquisitions.
  • Conduct market research to identify potential vendors, evaluate their offerings, and recommend suitable solutions to meet business needs.
  • Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to understand their requirements and align procurement strategies accordingly.

• Management of IT Projects with Significant Budgets:

  • Oversee IT projects with budgets exceeding $100,000, ensuring procurement activities align with project goals and budget constraints.
  • Collaborate with project managers and stakeholders to define procurement needs, timelines, and resource requirements.

• Cost Optimization and Process Improvement:

  • Develop and implement strategies to optimize procurement costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements within the procurement lifecycle to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.

Required Qualifications & Experience:

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, IT Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
• Proven experience, at least 5 years in IT procurement, contract negotiation, and vendor management.
• Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, software licensing models, and emerging technologies.
• Experience managing IT projects with significant budgets ($100k ).
• Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in procurement software/tools and MS Office Suite.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
