IT Procurement Manager leads and manages all phases of the IT procurement function. Evaluates and identifies the needs of the organization and stakeholders. Being an IT Procurement Manager defines clear and specific requirements for equipment and services. Researches suppliers and directs the sourcing process. Additionally, IT Procurement Manager negotiates contracts, pricing, terms, and service level agreements. Establishes standards and policies for efficient and fair procurement practices. Duties and responsibilities
· Plan and implement the overall Procurement strategy
· Collaborate with Sales, Operations, and Customer Service teams
· Determine and maintain key KPIs for all levels of procurement activities to include but not be limited to supplier performance, buyer activity levels, financial performance, and material shortage elimination
· Oversee the Materials Review Board and Inventory Obsolescence
· Participate in Vendor negotiations
· Suggest solutions for process improvements
· Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions promptly
· Train and evaluate team members
· Provide constructive feedback to direct hires and peers
· Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors
· Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
Requirements and qualifications
· Bachelor’s degree in Business Management, Finance, or similar relevant field (MBA a plus)
· Previous working experience as a Procurement/Purchasing Manager for 5 years
· Hands-on experience with software (such as MS Office, Monarch, Salesforce.com)
· Sense of ownership and pride in your performance and its impact on PLI’s success
