Salado Isolation Mining Contractors, managing and operating contractor of the Waste Isolation Pilot Plant (WIPP) is currently seeking a qualified individual to serve as the Construction & Projects Procurement Manager and join our team to support our government customer in Carlsbad, New Mexico.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the award and subcontract administration of major construction, equipment, infrastructure systems upgrades, and/or services required to support the WIPP site. The candidate must ensure compliance with the SIMCO prime contract, DOE Order 413.3B, Department of Energy Acquisition regulations, Federal Acquisition Regulations, and maintain good business practices for the organization. Candidate will need to be capable making critical decisions, weighing all risk factors against site requirements and schedule needs, and seeking necessary approvals to ensure exceptional acquisition performance. Must be able to lead a large team of experienced acquisition professionals and support personnel in addition to routine communication with federal oversight staff.
Exempt Salary Grade 40-42
