    Job Description:

    Responsible for managing and administrating various contracts related to the procurement of goods and services within the University. Primary role is to ensure that contracts are properly executed, monitored, and adhered to throughout their lifecycle. This includes purchases and leases, service agreements and high-risk contracts.

    • Manages the contract lifecycle, including developing contracting workflows and integrating them with the contract management platform, including tracking expirations, renewals, and terminations.
    • Maintains a repository of all contracts and related documents for easy access and reference.
    • Review and negotiates contracts, including purchase agreements, service contracts, and supplier agreements.
    • Develops and maintains relationships with vendors and suppliers to facilitate effective contract administration.
    • Monitors vendor performance to ensure compliance with contract terms and service level agreements.
    • Assists with addressing issues or disputes that may arise during the contract term.
    • Identifies and assesses risks associated with contracts and takes appropriate measures to mitigate them.
    • Monitors and enforces compliances with legal and regulatory requirements.
    • Assist in cost analysis and budgeting related to procurement contracts.
    • Helps control contract costs and seek opportunities for cost savings and efficiencies.
    • Provides guidance and training to colleagues and staff members on contract-related policies and procedures.
    • Identifies areas for process improvement and suggests ways to streamline and optimize contract administration.
    • Collaborates with the organization's legal team to ensure that contracts are legally sound and that any legal issues are addressed.
    • Overseeing the Universities contract involvement in the implementation of the new Jagger program and all contract issues within that have come on board and will continue to come on board.
    • Performs related duties as assigned or as required to fulfill the function of the position successfully.

    Job Requirements:

    Required Education:

    • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or Management, Library and Information Sciences, Information Management, or a related field, AND:
    • 36 months of experience in reviewing, administering, and preparing contracts.

    Skills:

    • Knowledge of contract administration.
    • Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing software, and database software
    • Knowledge of federal policies governing the administration of contracts and cooperative agreements at educational institutions
    • Knowledge of general management principles and practices
    • Decision-making and problem-solving skills when negotiating contracts and monitoring contract activities
    • Ability to work independently and be a team player
    • Excellent verbal and written skills

    Advertised Physical Requirements:

    • Sit for prolonged periods. Communicate effectively and listen. Engages in repetitive motion.
    • Standard office environment.

    Departmental Preferences:

    • Experience with higher education or state contraction requirements.
    • Knowledge of the Jagger suite of systems and related programs.
