    IDG is seeking a Global Procurement Category Manager – IT to join our Procurement team. This person will help define and execute sourcing strategies that drive P&L value across the IDG IT spend category, and will play a significant role in execution activities associated with the IT category strategy. This person will be the primary owner of the management of the supplier relationship process, and will work closely with their counterparts and stakeholders to ensure that the strategies are executed to the benefit of IDG globally.

    Responsibilities

    • Develops and executes cost-saving initiatives through Strategic Sourcing, including negotiations, supplier consolidation, and demand management.
    • Partners with key stakeholders to optimize procurement value and working capital by identifying opportunities, aggregating goods and services, and the standardization of processes.
    • Leads IT sourcing projects, guiding sourcing strategy, supplier selection, cost evaluations, ROI analyses, pricing negotiations and contract discussions.
    • Builds and maintains positive supplier and stakeholder relationships, communicates Procurement goals and value proposition, and understands relevant functional organizations, their goals, and IT/technology needs.
    • Conducts spend analysis, creates annual Category Management Plans, and implements changes to enhance cost efficiency, leveraging strong business relationships.
    • Leads contract negotiations with IT vendors to secure favorable terms, pricing, and SLAs, working with legal and internal stakeholders to ensure compliance and risk management.
    • Leads or participates in IT vendor selection process, aligned with quality, cost and technical requirements, and maintains relationships through regular performance evaluations.
    • Manages the complete contract lifecycle, including administration, compliance, and renewals, in collaboration with Legal and other involved parties.
    • Ensures compliance with Procurement Ethics, Policies, Corporate Standards, Values, Internal Controls and relevant laws.

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Technology, Economics, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field
    • 10 years’ experience in IT Procurement and/or IT Category/Contract Management
    • Strong collaboration and communication skills with the ability to influence others
    • Ability to work in a changing/evolving environment
    • Excellent procurement skills and contract negotiation experience.
    • Experience with electronic sourcing and procurement tools (MS D365 a plus) preferred
    • Ability to manage a portfolio of responsibilities and the analytical skills necessary to prioritize and optimize multiple priorities and objectives.
    • Excellent skills with Microsoft Office Tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Sharepoint, Teams, PowerBI).
    • This role will be based out of our Needham MA office with a hybrid work schedule or we will consider qualified candidates for approved remote US locations.

The expected total annual compensation, depending on location and experience, is between $128,000 and $150,000 and is inclusive of base salary and variable compensation (if applicable).
