IT Procurement Administrator administers and coordinates activities and processes in the IT procurement function. Prepares RFI's and RFP's based on stakeholder and company requirements. Being an IT Procurement Administrator conducts sourcing activities to evaluate supplier pricing and offerings. Reviews contracts, terms, and service level agreements. Additionally, IT Procurement Administrator inputs and tracks procurement data. Facilitates the planning and coordination of equipment delivery, installations, upgrades, and changes. Typically requires a bachelor's degree or equivalent. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The IT Procurement Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature.     • Deep understanding of database administration (SQL Server and Sybase)
    • Experience with install, configuration, and upgrading Microsoft SQL software.

    • This individual must be able to troubleshoot under difficult circumstances and maintain a good rapport with agency staff at all levels.

    We are looking for a team-oriented person with a deep understanding of database administration (SQL Server and Sybase) to help support MDOC. This individual must be able to troubleshoot under difficult circumstances, lead highly complex projects, implement new policies and procedures, and maintain a good rapport with agency staff at all levels.

    The Database Administrator Specialist takes on the role of assisting with database structure and design, implementing, and maintaining the database environment, participating in enterprise efforts as needed, and ensuring compliance with security and integrity needs across the database environment.

    • Assist in data architecture and database design.
    • Install, configure, and upgrade Microsoft SQL software.
    • Database Security & Integrity

    o Follow, implement, and maintain DTMB Security Practices, Policies, and Procedures.

    o Maintain awareness of industry best practices.

    o Innovate to provide customers with appropriately secured data environments.

    o Ensure appropriate Access and Availability.

    o Proactively monitor and ensure all database servers are current in all patches and security updates.

    • Database backups and restores.
    • SQL scripting
    • Shell scripting
    • PowerShell scripting
    • Database performance optimization/tuning
    • Application/solution incident response SME
    • Provide audit responses.
