Works with the Business Development team in establishing agreements that reflect the interests of partners and the company. Being an IT Contracts Manager also works with legal counsel when drafting licensing agreements. Ensures contract performance and rewrites or amends as necessary. Additionally, IT Contracts Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Must have a solid understanding of web technology. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Contracts Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Title: Federal Contracts Manager
Job Description: The Federal Contracts Manager will be responsible for the review, negotiation, and management of large, complex, multifaceted, long-term contractual agreements with the US Government with an emphasis on the GSA MAS contract serving as the main point of contact between Sterling and the GSA Contracting Office. The Contracts Manager is responsible for ensuring that all contractual and program requirements are fulfilled and will also ensure that Sterling remains compliant with all requirements of the programs for not only GSA but other contracts, agreements, or programs held by Sterling as directed by management.
Required Technical Skills: The Contracts Manager should have strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and proficiency in Word, Outlook, Adobe Acrobat Professional, and Salesforce.
Required Education/Experience: Three or more years of experience with GSA Schedules (particularly IT 70/MAS). Knowledge and hands-on experience with other government contracting methods and applicable procurement laws and regulations, including but not limited to FAR, DFAR, AFAR and other agency supplements.
