IT Contracts Manager creates, writes, negotiates and reviews hardware or software licensing contracts. Works with the Business Development team in establishing agreements that reflect the interests of partners and the company. Being an IT Contracts Manager also works with legal counsel when drafting licensing agreements. Ensures contract performance and rewrites or amends as necessary. Additionally, IT Contracts Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Must have a solid understanding of web technology. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Contracts Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Purpose:
The Contracts Manager is part of a dynamic contracts team, supporting a portfolio of government, commercial and international customers. Specifically in this role responsibilities will include managing some of your own contracts, while also managing and finding development opportunities for a team of contract professionals with varied levels of experience in the contracts field, who are actively supporting numerous government contracts and ongoing proposal activities. This position will also have you working closely with and providing support to, the Director of Contracts. Duties will include, but are not limited to, helping in development/refinement of processes and procedures relating to contract review and administration, administration of contracts at locations across the enterprise, interface with the U.S. Government in both written and oral communications, and ensuring flow down of contractual obligations and processes within the organization
