IT Contracts Manager creates, writes, negotiates and reviews hardware or software licensing contracts. Works with the Business Development team in establishing agreements that reflect the interests of partners and the company. Being an IT Contracts Manager also works with legal counsel when drafting licensing agreements. Ensures contract performance and rewrites or amends as necessary. Additionally, IT Contracts Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Must have a solid understanding of web technology. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Contracts Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. Extensive knowledge of department processes. Your Role
This position will be a critical team member of the Contracts Team within the broader Legal Department. You will be responsible for the organization and maintenance of commercial contracts across the Casey’s enterprise including the review and preparation of template agreements under the guidance and supervision of an attorney. In this role, you will maintain and prioritize the queue of contracts submitted for legal review. This critical work will necessitate liaising with business partners to understand each request, identifying the level of review required and managing expectations through consistent communication between the Contracts Team and its internal business clients.
Further, you will maintain the repository of Casey’s executed commercial contracts; perform cursory reviews of third-party contracts; maintain, update and publish contract templates; draft, prepare and send non-standard correspondence, memos and reports; and manage various projects. The Contracts Manager will also play an important role in the selection, implementation and operation of a Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) system.
