Senior IT Project Manager:

*6-month contract with possible extension
*Strong knowledge and skills working with contracts and in procurement
*Strong client and relationship building skills
*Implementation skills are a plus

 

• Creates and maintains the project plan
• Develops, and continually updates, project plans, schedules and other relevant project management artifacts such as status reports, business requirements documentation, and risk mitigation plans.
• Facilitates the gathering of information required for the level of effort analysis to estimate project cost, resources, time and deliverables.
• Develops budget requests for resources
• Describe technical or other issues that need to be considered and assist in the development of SOW’s.
• Ensures that all project team members have the tools and training required to perform effectively.
• Has good judgment regarding which creative ideas and suggestions can improve the service.
• Prepares status reports to convey project scope, goals, milestones, budget, risk, status, change requests, and critical issues to the client and project team.
• Uses past experiences to identify potential areas of improvement.
• Performs business analysis functions as required.
• Creates and implements recommendations.

• Typically 5-7 years of IT Project Management experience
• Project Management certification or successful completion of a recognized project management curriculum is desired.
• Technical management experience in a high-technology environment.
• Strong relationship management skills.
• Manages improvement processes that impact customer satisfaction and relationships.
• Strong oral, written and presentation skills.
• Working in procurement and with contracts preferred.
