JOB SUMMARY:
Leads and manages all aspects of Supply Chain Planning to meet customer demands. Responsible for managing the forecast and mid to long term supply plan for key customer accounts. Actively participates in the Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP) with revenue projections, risk mitigation and long term capacity evaluations. Interfaces with Business Development, Supply Planning, Procurement, Operations, and Quality to meet business objectives. Responsible for coordinating, creating and developing level loaded production plans, requisitioning of materials, reporting of "risk" associated with obsolete materials and customer service. Maintains adequate finished goods inventory levels that balances customer service needs and minimizes product, raw material, and labeling write-offs.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES / RESPONSIBILITIES:
Company Aligned to Deliver Sales and Operations Plan
Key customer service contact with customers
Translates monthly forecast into revenue plan.
Presents revenue plan and key metrics as part of S&OP.
Lead the pre-S&OP (commercial and non-commercial) process to ensure all non-production projects are identified.
Actively participate in pre-S&OP to balance customer expectations with capacity; proactively identify any long term capacity constraints.
Ensure Exceptional Customer Service and Manage Demand
Review monthly customer POs and load into ERP system; calculate and track associated forecast accuracy.
Develop high level supply plan based on capacity for the forecast period.
Provide stock availability updates to customers; calculate OTIF performance weekly.
Ensures products are scheduled in Manufacturing and Packaging according to customer priorities and assures that overall plan submitted is level loaded by month, by Line.
Materials Available in Support of Forecasts
Collaboratively with Business Development, generates Quota projections for Active Pharmaceutical Ingredients (API) and controlled substances; ensures DEA licenses and permits are completed as required to ship POs on-time.
Provide accurate, timely demand plans to ensure that all stock is available for production to support all commercial, development and clinical production forecasts. Stock availability includes allowing for necessary internal and external lead times regarding procurement, receiving, inspection, and release of bulk ingredients including raw materials, labeling and packaging components, etc.
Ensure revision control for components.
Contract Terms Implemented Ensure
organizational contract compliance to contract terms once initial production has begun.
Provide reporting on metrics related to functional area identified in contracts.
Optimal Processes
Act as the liaison with Quality for supplier quality and customer initiated deviations.
Optimize use of ERP system to improve efficiency and accuracy of planning processes.
Participate on process improvement, safety and other project teams as assigned by management.
