About the Position: We are looking for an experienced Large Capacity Forklift Operator to join our team! This individual will work in conjunction with the Production Supervisor and other Associates in the plant move large loads of steel, product, and other items as needed to work centers per request. This role works to verify inventoy and maintain an organized and safe work environment.

Responsibilities:

• Operating fork trucks up to 44,000 pounds to move large sheets of steel, large pieces of cut steel, and other product as needed
• Completes material handling functions as needed, e.g., brining materials into the building
• Operates overhead crane if needed
• Reports any inventory shortfalls to direct supervisor
• Completes daily pickupof area and remains responsible for cleanliness of work area
• Maintains all equipment and tools
• Adheres to all safety protocols including proper personal protective equipment
• Uses a barcode scanning system to clock in and out of jobs
• Remains willing and able to cross train in other positions of the Production Department as needed.

Experience Required:

• High school diploma or general education requirement
• Preferred experience with LARGE CAPACITY fork truck
• 2 years' experience operating similar fork trucks (44,000LB, 25,000LB, 22,000LB, 20,000LB,)
• Availability to work standard hours and overtime as needed
