    Position Overview
                                                                                                                                                   
    The IT & Service Manager plays a crucial role in configuring and optimizing the company's entire IT infrastructure. This includes modern hardware, software, networks, cloud services, servers, storage, security systems, video teleconferencing (VTC), telephony, and other related technologies. The role encompasses overseeing the installation and upgrading of information and communication technology systems to meet the needs of both internal and external customers.
    As a senior technical staff member, you will lead the technical and professional development of our IT team, focusing on mentorship, training, and performance evaluations. You will support our Business Development and Program Managers by providing technical assistance, identifying relevant technologies, conducting technical presentations, and aiding the sales process. Developing strong relationships with channel partners, vendors, and distributors to support corporate sales objectives is key. Additionally, you will be responsible for identifying, developing, and realizing strategic business opportunities.
     
    Responsibilities / Duties
    • Manages all aspects of hardware and software inventory and procurement, including audits to ensure hardware and software comply with standards, policies, and configuration guidelines; hardware and software maintenance; evaluation and purchase of new hardware and software; and negotiation with vendors for software licenses.
    • Monitors information technology infrastructure and related system operations and assesses potential risks.
    • Develops analytical and reporting tools, feasibility studies, and recommendations for enhancements to the information technology infrastructure and its supporting hardware and software.
    • Implements recovery and backup procedures.
    • Works in collaboration with the Cybersecurity Manager and IT Team to manage and maintain the integrity and reliability of security systems.
    • Conducts reviews and technical inspections to identify and mitigate potential security weaknesses and ensure that all security features and settings are applied to systems, are implemented, and functional.
    • Assessing and improving the Corporate IT infrastructure.
    • Develop technology implementation recommendations with associated estimates.
    • Formulating policies and procedures for optimum infrastructure utilization, government compliance, etc.
    • Assessing specific project requirements and recommending suitable solutions.
    • Meeting with managers of different departments and assessing IT infrastructure needs.
    • Ensures the infrastructure development projects are completed on budget and schedule.
    • Planning and supervising installation of IT infrastructure, both Internal and External.
    • Supervising, Developing, Leading, Training, Evaluating IT staff.
    • Ensuring security and availability of Corporate Data, to include protection, access, etc.
    • Developing, Implementing, and Enforcing IT security at all levels and systems.
    • Ensuring all corporate systems operate as intended and resolving all issues expeditiously.
    • Setting the curriculum for ongoing training to IT and sales reps regarding product knowledge, and market focus.
    • Ensuring all Technical AND sales personnel maintain their required vendor certifications.
    • Performing key functions to recruit top-notch IT professional including interviewing, hiring, monitoring, employee feedback and documentation, counseling and coaching, and performance management / improvement when needed. Identify staffing needs. Work with senior management to set budgets and implement plan.
    • Reviewing supervised personnel issues and identifying personal/professional developmental opportunities.
    • Using encouragement, fair-treatment, inclusion, and career development as primary techniques to motivate the team. Understanding that positive reinforcement and constructive coaching are the most effective tactics to help the team realize their full potential. Demonstrating a sincere interest in the well-being of team members.
    • Setting expectations for technical team members on behavior, professionalism, communications, and overall job performance.
    • Assessing individual skill sets and providing ongoing coaching and feedback to team members and managers to meet objectives, reinforce implemented methodology, and providing guidance on career path direction. Implement personal development plans across technical teams.
    • Implementing individual account and opportunity planning processes and developing new initiatives to maximize revenue and market potential. 
    • Demonstrating strong product knowledge and ability to articulate our value proposition; ability to train sales managers to implement this within the sales teams.
    • Effectively forecast, justify, and manage expenses across multiple teams.
    • Improves organizational security through implementing and maintaining information technology-related security measures.
    • Sets, develops, and maintains the strategy for cyber security to improve efficiency, coverage, and value; advises top management and stakeholders on cyber security risks and threats; and develops appropriate mitigation plans.
    • Directs and executes adversarial threat simulations on a company's infrastructure and critical assets to help improve process and controls to protect against real attacks and oversees subject matter experts in threat simulations.
    • Supervises incident responses and investigations when security threats occur.
    Minimum Requirements
    • Bachelor's degree with 3 years of IT Management/Cyber support experience, or Associate degree with 7 years of experience.
    • Eligibility for Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
    • Current cyber security certification such as CompTIA Security CE.
    • Updated Microsoft certifications, such as Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert.
    • Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time, including international locations.
    Preferred Qualifications
    • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows software and cloud platforms like Azure or AWS.
    • Experience with modern IT infrastructure, including cloud services, hardware, wireless technology, and security.
    • Strong organizational, project management, and leadership skills.
    • Extensive knowledge of IT solutions and services, especially in cloud computing and enterprise environments.
    • Ability to manage and train teams supporting complex technical solutions.
    • Comprehensive understanding of business functions and the impact of technical decisions.
    • Effective communication skills to understand and meet customer IT and business needs.
    Physical Demands
    • Work is performed in an office environment; requires the ability to operate standard office equipment and keyboards.
    • Must have the ability to lift and carry up to 30 pounds occasionally and walk short distances. 
    • Stand for long periods of time.
    • Bend, squat, climb, and reach.
    • Repetitive motion. Substantial movements (motions) of the wrists, hands, and/or fingers 
    • Have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as: preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing: viewing a computer monitor; extensive reading.
