IT Asset Manager manages the operations of the IT asset and inventory management function. Manages the maintenance of records and databases containing information regarding licenses, warranties, and service agreements for the organization's hardware and software. Being an IT Asset Manager minimizes organizational cost through product standardization and tracking. Tracks quality throughout the product lifetime. Additionally, IT Asset Manager requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a head of a unit/department. The IT Asset Manager manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be an IT Asset Manager typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     Responsibilities

    Position Summary

    We have an immediate opening for a full-time Manager,  Indirect Procurement-IT  working extensively with our client, an athletic apparel retailer. As a key member of our Client Services team, this position will play a critical role for LogicSource supporting purchasing and analytical functional operations as part of a large procurement engagement and reporting to our Senior Director, Procurement, IT.

    • As directed by the Senior Director execute sourcing strategies as a key part of our solution to deliver on client objectives for IT, and related categories including; hardware, software and services.
    • Build strategic sourcing models (market comparison, vendor rationalization, RFx, negotiations, contracting and implementation).
    • Provide analytical support within the IT category strategy by developing detailed financial and operational reports to monitor account performance and inform decisions impacting project delivery and revenue
    • Manage supplier performance and relationships to ensure the organization’s expectations are met
    • Engage analytical resources at LogicSource’s shared service center to ensure timely delivery of pertinent financial information
    • Deliver accurate and timely information to finance for issuance of invoices to the client
    • Monitor and report on key performance initiatives (KPIs) such as savings vs. baseline, purchase compliance to contract rates and usage versus demand management forecasts
    • Leverage operational data to drive continual process improvement, including automation of existing processes
    • Ensure procurement activities comply with all client policies and procedures including legal and regulatory
    • Maintain efficient and courteous relationship with client, vendors, and internal client contractors 

    Qualifications

    Required Education and Experience:

    • Bachelor’s degree
    • 3-5 years of experience in analysis, procurement or supply chain
    • Mastery of financial reporting concepts including commercial modeling
    • Proficient at Excel/financial analysis and planning
    • Ability to turn complex data into meaningful reports
    • Strong organizational and communication skills
    • Exposure strategic sourcing, procurement, contract administration, and/or project management processes
    • Analytically adept with strong financial analysis and reporting skills and keen attention to detail
    • Good reasoning; ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
    • Self-starter with ability to multi-task, make sound business decisions, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment

    Travel:

    This position requires minimal travel.
