IT Manager at the City of Nashua in Nashua, NH:
Directs, organizes, controls and plans all aspects of the Nashua Police Department Information Technology Division. Supervises IT division staff. Responsible to provide IT support for Law enforcement systems and software to provide data to police officers and law enforcement management to use in identification, apprehension, and prosecution of criminal offenders. Ensures compliance with federal security (CJIS) guidelines among other tasks and responsibilities. Performs technical and analytical work within the department to compare, interpret and disseminate information from data systems and instructs personnel in the best practical use of various software products to provide this information. Provides 24 hour on call support for servers and network computer, CCTV equipment and telephone support.
Duties:
- Manages, schedules and prioritizes IT Division workload and directly supervises the IT Programs Administrator and IT Network Administrator
- Ensures compliance with Federal and State laws as well as accreditation standards and SOP’s
- Serves as liaison with hardware and software vendors regarding the automated programs for the NPD.
- Evaluates/interprets situation and assists with performing corrective procedures to prevent and eliminate problems, recommends and assists in implementing long term and short-term plans and projects.
- Provides technical support, monitors networks systems, makes recommendations for on site, off site, outside agencies businesses and citizens as it pertains to police work or investigative purposes.
- Provides guidance to Network Administrator in evaluating, designing, configuring, installing and supporting network and computer equipment to include servers, firewalls, switches and external computers interfaces as well as administration and management of all NPD computer accounts, internet access, emails accounts and network security.

- Documentation and training for CJIS users.
- Supervise 1 Network Administrator and 1 IT Program Administrator.
