IT Asset Manager jobs in Gulfport, MS

An IT Manager is responsible for overseeing IT personnel and daily operations within the IT department. This position is responsible for several different tasks related to overseeing the company’s network systems.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND DUTIES OF POSITION:

• Develop new network troubleshooting strategies to help reduce downtime and decrease maintenance costs.
• Create rational strategies for upgrading the company’s network software whenever a new update is available.
• Construct and implement plans to ensure the company’s network continues to operate smoothly in the event of a problem.
• Plan, organize, control, and evaluate IT and electronic data operations.
• Manage IT staff by training and coaching employees, communicating job expectations, and appraising their performance.
• Ensure security of data, network access, and backup systems.
• Identify problematic areas and implement strategic solutions in time.
• Stay up to date with new network technology and report this information to the executive team each quarter.
• Work closely with other department managers to assess the growth needs and maintenance of the company’s network.
• Assumes additional duties as assigned by supervisors.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field.
• Expert knowledge of IT best practices, policies, and regulations.
• In-depth understanding of programming, computer science and digital security.
• A clear understanding of client/server technology and network architecture.
• Good communication, including writing, speaking, and active listening.
• Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.
• Customer service and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Great project management skills, including organization, planning, time management and prioritization.
• A , Linux or Cisco Certified Network Associate accreditation advantageous.
• Must be able to provide proper documentation that you have the legal right to work in the United States.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $65,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
