IT Asset Management Administrator performs various IT asset administration duties related to the organization's hardware, software, and service contracts. Administers systems for tracking IT asset life cycles, managing inventory and maintaining information on software licenses and service level agreements. Being an IT Asset Management Administrator ensures compliance with purchasing procedures and standards. Tracks quality throughout product/contract lifetimes. Additionally, IT Asset Management Administrator typically requires a bachelor's degree in a related area. Typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The IT Asset Management Administrator work is generally independent and collaborative in nature. Contributes to moderately complex aspects of a project.     Primary Purpose of Position:

    The SharePoint Administrator has will be a technical expert and manage the SharePoint platform and environments in the areas of workflow, administration, configuration, upgrades, design, continuous improvement, performance optimization, capacity management, and access management. The Administrator works closely with the departments/programs across the entire company to build out and maintain content specific information in the company’s SharePoint environment.


    Role and Responsibilities:

    • Monitors SharePoint software for any glitches or problems.
    • Troubleshoots issues promptly.
    • Works with the business to build out and maintain department/program specific content in SharePoint
    • Responsible for maintaining SharePoint environment for the company.
    • Manages, recommends changes to the layout of the site to IT leadership.
    • Customizes SharePoint site for company purposes.
    • Analyzes daily user activity on SharePoint.
    • Maintains records of SharePoint updates, maintenance, and activity.
    • Reports to IT leadership with updates and information about SharePoint use.
    • Provides technical support for SharePoint users.
    • Addresses questions or concerns from business owners or management regarding the function of the software.
    • Keeps apprised of Microsoft updates to SharePoint software.
    • Applies updates to company’s edition of SharePoint as necessary.
    • Works with NetOps to maintain SharePoint security and accessibility.
    • Holds training and informational sessions to teach employees how to use SharePoint.
    • Consults with management to devise the most useful ways to apply SharePoint to a business’s goals.
    • Other Duties as assigned


    Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

    • Demonstrates specific knowledge of the function and makeup of Microsoft SharePoint.
    • Is proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows Servers.
    • Possesses strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Possesses knowledge of best practices for maintaining information security.
    • Is able to handle confidential and sensitive company information responsibly.
    • Possesses ability to think creatively to devise customizations and uses for SharePoint.
    • Exhibits knowledge of software development industry.
    • Is familiar with website layouts and html.
    • Demonstrates strong leadership skills.
    • Communicates clearly and effectively.
    • Works well with a team as well as individually.
    • Is able to translate technical jargon into layman’s terms for explanatory purposes.
    • Demonstrates ability to work and conduct research independently.
    • Manages time efficiently and multi-tasks effectively.
    • Is able to think and work quickly to remedy system shutdowns or serious software problems


    Education/Experience Required:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is required.
    • Previous experience working with SharePoint is required.
    • 3 years experience in the role of SharePoint Administrator

    Education/Experience Preferred:

    • Master’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
    • 5 years experience in the role of SharePoint Administrator
    • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE): SharePoint
