IT Asset Management Analyst
Location: Savannah, GA
Salary: $50 USD/hour – based on experience
Contract Duration: 1 Year
Experience/Education:
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent combination of education and experience to successfully perform the essential functions of the job. Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or technology related field preferred. Five (5) years’ experience in technology asset management lifecycle.
Position Purpose:
Implement and maintain asset lifecycle information, including status, for technology-based hardware and software assets.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
1. Track and report on all hardware and software across a network or enterprise; monitor and report on unlicensed installations and prohibited software
2. Define asset tracking processes, policies, and procedures. Ensure that all hardware and software assets are recorded, tracked and monitor terms and conditions of software license usage
3. Manage software assets to ensure license compliance
4. Participate in integrating asset management with other business functions and systems. Implement and refine repeatable processes and controls that demonstrate quality and regulatory compliance.
5. Review all asset discrepancies
6. Review inventory (physical and automated) for variances with Asset database records
7. Assess and provide variance resolution
8. Analyze all variances and make recommendations to perform inventory
9. Associate variances with other process areas and advise appropriate process manager
10. Identify areas of process improvement and communicate to Asset Manager
11. Provide assistance and information to procurement
12. Recommend and initiate end of life on high maintenance assets
Other Requirements:
1. General PC knowledge including Microsoft Office expert level knowledge of Excel, working knowledge of Access
2. In-depth knowledge of and experience with IT asset lifecycle management
3. Good knowledge of all supporting technology for IT Asset Management
4. Good understanding of Asset Management process, policies, procedures, tools, and templates
5. Knowledge of data analysis and reporting tools and methodologies
6. Excellent analytical, assessment, planning, verbal and written communications skills
7. Good knowledge of the physical environment.
