Overview
Provides ongoing monitoring of all BNR programs to ensure staff compliance with Bancroft training policies. Conducts program audits to ensure program staff are up to date with training on person served individual needs. Conducts financial audits while ensuring compliance with state, federal, and industry regulations and Bancroft policies and procedures. Responsible to communicate findings of all audits effectively with program management and provide updates on status report of compliance following audits recommendations.
Responsibilities
- Provides ongoing support to Program management to ensure that the Program’s operations, daily activities, and staff operate in compliance with established Bancroft policies and procedures, Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) regulations, Health Insurance Portability & Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations, and applicable state/local/federal regulations at all times.
- Effectively communicates with program management, individual program staff members, and Human Resources Department to ensure all staff members remain current with required training certifications and adhere to mandatory requirements as Bancroft employees.
- Conducts periodic audits of program specific staff training for individual person served to include fire evacuation plans, individual diet training, medication side effects, and the like. Communicates to the program manager the names of the staff needing to be trained and signed off on prior to starting their next shift. Follows up with management to ensure compliance with audit recommendations.
- Conducts periodic financial audits for entrusted accounts and financial records of person served to ensure the completion and accuracy of required documentation. Communicates findings to the program manager, completes paperwork in accordance to Bancroft policies and follows up with findings to ensure compliance is achieved.
- Completes a periodic review of health and safety parameters in accordance with established timeframes to ensure program compliance required by state regulations and licensing accreditation. Communicates findings to the program manages, communicates to management. If safety concerns are observed, takes appropriate immediate action. May coordinate the submission and follow-through of all maintenance requests for the program site to ensure a timely response and the quick resolution of maintenance issues.
- As needed, maintains effective communications with persons served, parents, guardians, other family members, healthcare personnel, own manager, coworkers across Programs and functions, external vendors, neighbors, surrounding communities, etc. Operates in accordance with the Plan of Care for each person served regarding programs and treatment, healthcare, religious and sexual preferences (if applicable), ethnic and cultural support, recreational and socialization activities, physical fitness and healthy living, family visits and involvement, and disagreements and grievances.
- Serves as an advocate on behalf of persons served in a variety of situations.
- Actively participates in special projects related to the operations and daily activities of the program site, as necessary or as required.
- Actively participates in the development and implementation of performance improvement systems to ensure an overall efficient and cost-effective operation.
- Serves as a role model to persons served by projecting a positive self-image of professionalism, appearance, courtesy, conduct, honesty, fairness, personal integrity, and a respect for the fundamental rights, dignity, and privacy of others.
- Performs other related duties as assigned or as necessary; e.g., performs special projects, serves on performance improvement teams, etc. Remains flexible and adaptable in work schedules and work assignments as defined by program needs.
- Abides by the Bancroft Code of Ethics, Mission Statement, and Vision Statement in promoting ethical behavior, establishing relationships and providing guidance in decision-making situations.
- Remains current with required training certifications, meets state-regulated licensing and regulatory accreditations, and adheres to mandatory requirements.
- Maintains effective verbal and written communications with colleagues, those served, and their family members and/or guardians when applicable.
- Willingly and effectively cooperates with Bancroft, The Department of Human Services, The Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD), and other licensing or state agency or local municipalities in any inspections and investigations, upon request.
- Maintains a safe and respectful environment, free of abuse, neglect, or exploitation; does not allow weapons, threats, bullying or intimidation.
- Reports any violations to the appropriate individual as soon as the incident occurs.

Qualifications
High School diploma or equivalent required with a minimum of two years of related experience, preferably in a coordinator capacity. Prior experience working with neurologically-impaired individuals preferred.
