Job Description
Assist customers and employees with respect to all IRA knowledge and products and provide back-up assistance to Customer Service Department.
Daily maintenance on all IRA compliance. Assist customers with access into the Safe Deposit area, consisting of opening and closing safe deposit boxes.
Conducts relationships and activities consistent with established Bank policies, procedures and systems, the corporate code of conduct, Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable State and Federal laws and regulations.
Provide Legendary Service to customers and employees.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES :
Review daily IRA reports and Auditing on exceptions and maintenance for IRAs.
Create and maintain IRA folders and file documentation.
Assist customers and employees in contributions and distributions to / from IRA accounts.
Open inherited IRA Accounts. Maintain and facilitate all necessary annual IRA training.
Communicate any IRA training to employees when needed.
Prepare necessary forms for proper completion of Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) requirements. Includes obtaining appropriate documentation from customers and non-customers.
Maintain accurate Safe Deposit leases; new, closed or updated leases.
Accurate reporting on the Safe Deposit Box System including billing, accepting payments and auditing the safe deposit boxes.
Cross-trained support on customer service / teller functions to enhance the customer service level provided.
Recognize customer needs and cross-sell bank products / services ensuring recommendations are customer centric to meet the needs of the customer.
Make referrals to other lines of business for traditional and non-traditional products and services.
Acquire and maintain thorough knowledge and understanding of compliance and regulatory issues relating to customer service areas ( Bank Secrecy Act, Regulation CC, E, DD, P, etc.
evidenced by appropriate application of these regulations in day-to-day operations.
Acquire and maintain thorough understanding and acknowledgment of security procedures and practice of established procedures.
Understand role in case of robbery, whether victim or bystander, and know proper post-robbery procedures.
Maintain neat and orderly work area and ensure that negotiable and confidential records are secured and / or disposed of properly.
Consistently demonstrate proficiency in providing exemplary customer service in person and by telephone.
Actively listen to our customers, and maintain a friendly, positive and professional attitude.
Resolve difficult situations with tact and diplomacy.
Look for creative ways to make customers feel appreciated and special.
Additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
High school education or equivalent.
Previous banking and / or customer service experience preferred.
Basic math skills required.
PC and typing skills required.
Attention to detail required.
Ability to maintain regular and punctual attendance.
Strong customer relations skills and ability to communicate and work well with employees and customers in a cooperative and positive manner.
Must possess good judgement skills and the ability to handle confidential information.
Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, see, and hear. Regularly required to hands, fingers, objects, tools, or controls and reach with hands and arms.
Occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. Frequently lift and / or move up to 25 pound's. Occasionally lift and / or move up to 50 pounds.
Specific vision abilities include reasonable vision requirements of daily computer and hard copy tasks.
