Dollar Bank is hiring for an IRA Specialist. If you would enjoy helping customers navigate their way through the requirements surrounding retirement accounts, this is the job for you. As an IRA Specialist, you will be the primary point of contact for both customers and branches seeking assistance regarding Retirement Accounts. You will field questions from customers regarding Required Minimum Distribution (RMD) amounts, Contribution Limits, Dollar Bank offered retirement products, interest rates, etc. You will assist branch personnel with monetary processing questions, new account opening processes and a variety of questions surrounding the retirement rules and regulations. Operational tasks are also required such as RMD payment maintenance, opening/closing accounts, etc.
Principal Activities/Duties:
*Open IRA accounts and follow through on the new account verification process.
*Acknowledge telephone calls promptly and courteously.
*Perform daily tasks such as CD Renewals, IRA branch verification, Bank by Mail processing, update withholding elections.
*Process retirement savings transaction requests through the teller system.
*Effectively deal with customers/back office employees who have service questions or problems in a professional, discrete, timely, accurate and courteous manner.
*Attend IRA training seminars.
*Participate at weekly staff meetings.
*Participate in various projects as assigned i.e. 1099R and 5498 corrections, Escheat refunds, and IRA Required Minimum Distribution payment updates, and annual IRA mailings.
*Other responsibilities as assigned.
Qualifications:
*High School Diploma/GED required. Some college a plus.
*Banking experience is required.
*Familiarity with Microsoft Word and Excel.
*Familiarity with retirement savings products helpful.
*Desire and ability to provide quality customer service.
*Ability to effectively communicate both orally and in writing with customers and bank employees.
*Must be an involved team player and positive acceptor of on-going change.
*Attention to detail and accuracy, good organization skills.
