UPMC in Central Pa is seeking a skilled and motivated Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner to join our dynamic hyperbaric wound care team on a part-time basis.  As a Hyperbaric Wound Care provider, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive and specialized care to patients with complex wounds and conditions that can benefit from hyperbaric oxygen therapy.

Position Details:

• Conduct thorough patient assessments, including wound evaluations, medical histories, and physical examinations.
• Develop individualized treatment plans in collaboration with the supervising physicians and other members of the wound care team.
• Administer hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT) and monitor patients during treatment sessions.
• Oversee wound care procedures, including wound debridement, dressing changes, and other wound management techniques.
• Educate patients and their families on wound care protocols, lifestyle modifications, and prevention strategies.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes and ensure continuity of care.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation.
• Stay informed about the latest advancements in wound care and hyperbaric medicine through continued education and professional development.

Professional Skills:

• Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in Pennsylvania
• Certification in wound care or willingness to obtain wound care certification.
• Certification in hyperbaric medicine or prior experience in hyperbaric oxygen therapy is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in wound care and the management of complex wounds.
• Strong clinical judgment and the ability to make critical decisions independently.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to effectively interact with patients and a diverse healthcare team.
• Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate patient records.
• Compassionate, patient-centered approach to care.
