Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Technician to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining systems at various client locations. This role requires technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.

Responsibilities:

• Run low voltage cabling (network cabling, access control)
• Wire and program access control units and camera systems.
• General duties including but not limited to: configuring phones, configuring wireless equipment, boxing and shipping, etc.
• Install, configure, and troubleshoot security camera systems, including IP cameras, NVRs, and related hardware and software components.
• Assist with site surveys to assess client requirements and recommend appropriate security solutions.
• Mount and align cameras, ensuring optimal coverage and functionality.
• Program and integrate security systems with other devices, such as alarms and access control systems.
• Test systems to ensure proper functionality and performance.
• Provide client education on system operation and maintenance procedures.
• Respond to service calls and perform repairs and upgrades as needed.
• Maintain accurate documentation of installations, configurations, and service records.
• Adhere to all quality and safety codes

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 1 year of experience in running wires or in general contracting roles (i.e. patching drywall and painting it, etc.)
• Knowledge of network infrastructure, including TCP/IP, LAN/WAN, and wireless networks preferred but not required.
• Familiarity with CCTV standards, protocols, and technologies preferred but not required.
• Experience in the following list is helpful, but not necessary: RJ45 network terminations, network patch panel terminations, wiring of access control systems, installing electronic locks
• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong troubleshooting and critical thinking skills
• Positive and professional demeanor
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $16.00 - $25.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
