BT Hydraulics is looking for a Counter Sales/Parts Technician for our busy hydraulic parts and repair business at our Colchester location. The ideal candidate will have hands on experience in the hydraulic industry or related mechanical field, but willing the train the right person. Proficient with customer service and communication. Mechanical aptitude, attention to detail and problem solving skills are required.

Competitive wage $25.00 / hour depending on experience

Job Type: Full-time/ 40 hours per week to start as soon as possible

Work Location: In person in to Colchester

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assisting internal and external customers which will require identifying hydraulic parts and building hose assemblies for a wide variety of customers
• Communicating by phone and in-person, looking up parts information, creating invoices and taking payments
• Creating and tracking invoices for credit account customers
• Managing and stocking inventory and/or pulling parts for customers, re-ordering inventory
• Managing work orders and invoicing for the repair shop division
• Conducting inventory counts as needed
• Maintain a clean and organized store

QUALIFICATIONS:

• 1-3 years of relevant mechanical/ hydraulic or comparable experience
• Quick learner, organized, efficient and be able to multitask
• Work independently and solve problems
• Reliable and hardworking with strong customer service and basic sales skills.
• Ability to, at different times and frequencies, sit, stand, walk, lift and bend.
• Mechanically inclined, don’t mind getting dirty.
• Ability to work alone to solve problems.
• Good communication skills
• Positive attitude, self-motivated.
• Safety minded in your work.
• Basic math and measurement skills to determine diameters, fractions, thread pitch, etc.

Pay: From $25.00 per hour
