Communicates findings and recommendations to customer and management. Being a Hydraulic Technician must be proficient in basic cylinder assembly and teardown skills. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Hydraulic Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hydraulic Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. As part of the Engineering Department, the Hydraulic Technician will install, run, and maintain equipment used to develop, test, produce, and sustain aircraft. New aircraft designs undergo years of testing before they are put into service. As part of the job, a technician often sets up test configurations, such as test fixtures, and determines the causes of equipment malfunctions.
