Hydraulic Technician troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and services all hydraulic machines, systems, and components. Communicates findings and recommendations to customer and management. Being a Hydraulic Technician must be proficient in basic cylinder assembly and teardown skills. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Hydraulic Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hydraulic Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area. The ideal candidate must have 6 months of mechanical experience maintaining, troubleshooting and repairing mechanical systems and equipment. Must be familiar with hand tools and know how to use scales, tape measures, and other mechanic's equipment/tools. Hydraulic, outside machinist, and precision measurement tools experience are a plus. Must be willing to travel.
