Hydraulic Technician troubleshoots, diagnoses, repairs, reconditions, and services all hydraulic machines, systems, and components. Communicates findings and recommendations to customer and management. Being a Hydraulic Technician must be proficient in basic cylinder assembly and teardown skills. Typically requires a high school diploma or its equivalent. Additionally, Hydraulic Technician typically reports to a supervisor or manager. The Hydraulic Technician possesses a moderate understanding of general aspects of the job. Works under the close direction of senior personnel in the functional area.   • POSITION SUMMARY

    Troubleshoot, diagnose and repair hydraulic systems and components both in the branch and off site (customers and other locations.)

    ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

    • Troubleshoot hydraulic systems and components.
    • Diagnose problems, prepare estimates for repairs.
    • Repair and install new systems in the field.
    • Keep work area/truck clean and organized.
    • Maintain proper inventory on service vehicle.
    • Maintain a professional image and relationship with customers.
    • Identify new business opportunities while on customer premises.

    POSITION QUALIFICATIONS – SKILLS AND ABILITIES

    Experience should demonstrate proficiencies in the following areas:

    • Ability to determine how a system should work and how changes in conditions, operations, and the environment will affect outcome.
    • Skill to formulate a sound decision using available information.
    • Ability to pay attention to the minute details of a task.
    • Work at customer site in accordance with their work rules.

    Education:High School degree or equivalent

    Experience:Five years hydraulic experience

    Skills taught after hire as needed:ISO Training, Safety Training, Product Training, System Design, Quality Training

    Certificates & Licenses:None

    Other Requirements:Valid Driver’s License, Acceptable Motor Vehicle Record

    Travel Requirements:Some travel required

    WORK ENVIRONMENT:Works in indoors/outdoors in an uncontrolled environment

    Job Type: Full-time

    Pay: From $25.00 per hour
