Human Resources Supervisor administers human resources policies and programs and directs the human resources staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee productivity and company objectives. Provides day-to-day oversight of various human resources functions critical to the organization, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, payroll, and employee records. Being a Human Resources Supervisor supervises and trains staff that provides operational and administrative support for recruiting, onboarding, and other hr functions and programs. Develops consistent and standard procedures to process employment, attendance, and other records and to ensure accuracy. Additionally, Human Resources Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Human Resources Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Human Resources Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes. Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00 an hour
Job Duties & Responsibilities:Loader
- Cleans and visually inspects the railcar before transfer to ensure that it is mechanically sound
- Connects or disconnects loading arm hose for transfer of product
- Inspects for any leaks, weighs railcars and completes required paperwork
Rail Switching
- Examines track list to plan railcars to be spotted, separated, loaded, and/or built for shipment
- May operate trackmobile or locomotive to safely move railcars in the plant
- Communicates with rail team members, leadership, and customer contacts
- Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job
Job Qualifications:
- Experience is a plus but not required, and paid on-the-job training is available
- May require a valid Driver’s License and / or a valid TWIC card, depending on work location
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
- Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
