Human Resources Supervisor administers human resources policies and programs and directs the human resources staff in managing and implementing programs that support employee productivity and company objectives. Provides day-to-day oversight of various human resources functions critical to the organization, including recruiting, employee/labor relations, health and safety, compensation, benefits, training, diversity, employee engagement, payroll, and employee records. Being a Human Resources Supervisor supervises and trains staff that provides operational and administrative support for recruiting, onboarding, and other hr functions and programs. Develops consistent and standard procedures to process employment, attendance, and other records and to ensure accuracy. Additionally, Human Resources Supervisor typically requires a bachelor's degree. Typically reports to a manager. The Human Resources Supervisor supervises a group of primarily para-professional level staffs. May also be a level above a supervisor within high volume administrative/ production environments. Makes day-to-day decisions within or for a group/small department. Has some authority for personnel actions. To be a Human Resources Supervisor typically requires 3-5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. Thorough knowledge of functional area and department processes.   • Job Accountabilities

    Position Overview:

    The Supervisor’s role will be to support Talent Acquisition, Human Resources, -and related administrative functions for the Plant and assist the larger CAPP Division with key initiatives.

    Duties And Responsibilities:

    Reporting directly to the Human Resources Manager, the Human Resources Supervisor role includes both tactical and strategic responsibilities. The Supervisor’s responsibilities would include, but not be limited to, the following:

    • Talent Acquisition - sourcing, screening, interviewing, selection, background screening and reference checks. Will support recruiting initiatives for hourly associates as well as campus recruiting.
    • Conduct New Hire Orientation/Onboarding
    • Process employment requisitions, change notices, and tuition reimbursements
    • Preparing and administering training
    • Ensure compliance with government filings (I-9, FMLA) and postings
    • On the floor interactions with employees on all shifts, responding to employees’ issues/concerns in support of a positive employee relations’ environment
    • Payroll processing
    • Benefits administration and coordination of medical coverage and questions with Corporate Insurance
    • HRIS system administration including payroll issues, employee data input, daily attendance, and other related areas
    • Maintenance of employee files and records

    Administering the plants Affirmative Action Plan

    Support the Health & Safety initiatives for the Plant.

    Assist in the coordination of employee communications and meetings to keep employees informed

    Performs other job-related duties as required or assigned


    Job Requirements

    Qualifications:

    In addition to the specific responsibilities listed above, the ideal candidate will possess the following:

    Minimum Requirements

    • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related discipline preferred; SHRM CP / SCP certification a plus
    • 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
    • 3 years of full life-cycle Talent Acquisition experience from requisition to hire for hourly associates
    • Experience in employee relations, benefits, and payroll administration
    • Thorough understanding of federal, state, and local employment laws
    • Strong analytical, communication and interpersonal skills
    • May occasionally need to work evening and weekend hours to support shifts

    Preferred Requirements

    • Experience supporting a union environment a plus
    • Professional certification
    • AS400 experience

    • While performing the duties of this job, the associate is regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands, reach with hands and arms, and may be required to balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.
    • The associate may lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
    • Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision and ability to adjust focus.

    Working Conditions

    • Generally, works in an office setting but will be required to perform some job duties inside a plant environment.
    • While performing the duties of this job, the associate may be exposed to moving mechanical parts and vehicular traffic.
    • The associate may be exposed to a wide range of temperatures.
    • The noise level is frequently loud.
