Position Summary:
We are seeking a mid-level Human Resources Generalist to join our team in Green Bay, United States. As a Human Resources Generalist, you will be responsible for supporting various HR functions including recruitment, onboarding, employee relations, benefits administration, and compliance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Advise management on HR best practices, ensuring that HR operations are handled confidentially and in accordance with current federal, state, and local standards, guidelines, and regulations.
Lead recruiting efforts through sourcing, interviewing, testing, and onboarding including counseling managers on candidate selection.
Administer payroll for all employees including processing time cards, maintaining and updating employee records, complete reporting for company leadership and federal, state and local requirements.
Develop talent attraction strategy and recruiting processes to hire top talent.
Lead safety program including leading safety team, training, OSHA compliance, accident investigations and develop safety processes Design and conduct new employee orientation to foster positive company culture and high-quality employee performance.
Manage benefit programs and work to provide competitive benefit plans at best possible value.
Serve as a link between management and employees by handling questions; interpret and administer company policy; help to resolve work related issues/concerns.
Maintain work structure by updating job requirements and job descriptions for all positions.
Drive standardized performance management process, providing support on completing effective reviews and ensuring the execution, accuracy, and consistency of the appraisal process. Ensure ongoing planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to provide effective feedback to employees.
Manage employee termination procedures including separation agreements and related documentation; conducting and analyzing exit interviews; responding to unemployment claims.
Ensure legal compliance by monitoring and implementing applicable human resource federal and state requirements; conduct investigations; maintain records; represent the organization at hearings.
Partner with operations to ensure a safe working environment for all employees.
Monitor worker’s compensation claim management activities.
Maintain and periodically update employee handbook and other written policies and procedures; interpret and apply policies and procedures; train other employees on new polices; maintain written documentation of all training.
Administer company compensation program including participation in wage surveys, analyzing external and internal wage data ensuring market competitiveness and internal equity.
Essential Functions:
Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Human Resources.
7 years of progressive experience in an HR Generalist role, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
Experience administering company payroll
Working knowledge of applicable state and federal laws and regulations.
Problem solver; able to troubleshoot issues independently or escalate when necessary; sense of accountability and sound professional judgement.
Ability to respond effectively to the most sensitive inquiries or complaints.
Experience managing HR projects and developing HR policies.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem solving skills.
Highly organized and able to work with and influence others.
Experience using HRIS applications.
Experience using MS Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
