Human Resources Director plans and oversees human resources functional operations, including talent acquisition, compensation, benefits, training, employee relations, safety, and compliance.     Summary of Job Description:


    The Director of Human Resources serves as the strategic business partner for CFT driving the people side of the business inclusive of talent acquisition, leadership development and succession planning for CFT associates. Reporting into the Executive Director of HR at Panda Restaurant Group, the director will be the point person for all associate relations issues and focus on creating strong associate engagement and culture immersion at CFT.



    You’ll get a chance to:


    • Serve as a strategic business partner to the Cherng Family Trust business with a focus on talent development and acquisition.

    • Conduct ongoing meetings with senior leaders on all areas related to the people side of the organization.

    • Engage with leadership in long-range planning efforts to identify future needs in support of company growth, including succession planning.

    • Facilitate People Planning for focal point and mid-year review cycles.

    • Ensure effective performance evaluations and development of individual development plans (IDPs) for associates.

    • Assist leadership with identifying high potential associates as well as creating performance plans for low performers requiring improvement.

    • Works with Compensation and department leadership in determining compensation increases and adjustments, bonus payments, and promotions.

    • Prepare write ups for associates needing to improve performance and works with Legal on termination situations.

    • Oversee CFT engagement programs, such as reboarding and onboarding, and identifies future trends.

    • Work with leadership on developing new recruitment and retention strategies and programs to support being an employer of choice.

    • Develop and executes corporate staffing plan, working closely with corporate department heads, to ensure both internal and external pipeline of candidates.

    • Coach and advise the leadership team for assigned corporate departments on hiring high quality associates compatible with PRG mission and culture.

    • Responsible for creating a strong associate engagement environment.

    • Review AIM survey results with leadership and creates follow up plans to strengthen associate engagement with the company.

    • Provide guidance to leaders on how to engage with associates, coach performance, etc.

    • Conduct exit interviews with associates leaving the company, identifying engagement issues and trends that need to be addressed.

    • Address specific Associate Relations issues, working with the AR team to investigate associate relations complaints, and recommends resolutions to department leadership.

    • Lead HR projects and special initiatives with enterprise-wide impact as assigned. May also participate in projects and special initiatives.

    Your background & experience:


    Bachelor’s degree required, advanced degree preferred; business and/or HR majors and PHR or SHRM SCP preferred.

    • Minimum ten years of HR Generalist experience with increasing management responsibility, preferably in a retail/hospitality operations environment

    • Successful completion of initial and periodically required training

    • Obtaining a valid Food Handler's Card within 30 days of employment is a requirement of this position.

    • If hired, successful completion of annual store training

    • If hired, must provide proof of full vaccination on start date, unless prohibited by federal, state, or local law. Full vaccination means two weeks or more have passed after receiving the second dose in a two-dose series, or more than two weeks after receiving a single-dose vaccine. Examples of proof of full vaccination include an original, photocopied, or digital completed vaccination card that includes name, type of vaccine provided, and date of last dose administered.
