Job Description:
Cimarron is seeking a Human Resources Business Partner to support Cimarron's HR and Talent Acquisition team at either our Huntsville, AL or Houston, TX location by performing a variety of HR activities including, but not limited to, employee relations, talent acquisition, reporting, onboarding/offboarding, worker's compensation administration, and training. This position can support a hybrid work schedule. Most of the time this position can be supported remotely but will require the selected candidate to provide on-site support, as needed.
Key Duties:
- Managing candidate flow and all aspects of the recruiting process (sourcing and qualifying candidates, salary negotiation, offer letters, relocation, etc.)
- Working with hiring managers to understand job competencies and recruiting requirements for open positions.
- Conducting pre-screening interviews.
- Setting up interviews with hiring managers and coordinating offers.
- Onboarding new hires and arranging new hire orientation.
- Initiating badging and security processes.
- Conducting exit interviews.
- Resolving and managing employee relations issues and facilitating conflict resolution.
- Utilizing knowledge of labor and employment law to provide guidance to managers.
- Managing other HR functions, as needed.
Required Skills, Experience, and Education:

- Cimarron employees are required to follow federal, state, and local laws regarding COVID-19 practices, as well as customer requirements.
- 1 or more year(s) of recruiting experience including, but not limited to: sourcing, pre-screening, assessing, interviewing, and hiring candidates.
- 1 or more year(s) of experience in employee relations, conflict avoidance/resolution, benefits/compensation administration, award programs, training, and a solid understanding of employment law.
- Experience with social media networking sites and recruiting tools.
- Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication, presentation, time management, organizational, and decision-making skills.
- Ability to work independently and with a team.
- High degree of integrity and ability to work with confidential information.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
- Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources, Business, or related discipline, or Bachelor's Degree in a technical field of study such as Computer Science or Engineering, OR equivalent experience.
Desired Skills, Experience, and Education:
- Experience with or knowledge of Affirmative Action Plans, OFCCP, Federal, State, and Local laws and regulations.
- Previous HR Generalist experience.
- Experience using an Applicant Tracking System.
- Knowledge of the aerospace and/or defense industry.
- Knowledge of manufacturing, computer systems, IT, and/or engineering principles.
- SHRM certification.
