Description
Policy:NRI shall identify necessary competencies for employees whose activities impact food safety.
Purpose:Outline the duties of the Human Resource Clerk position at NRI.
Summary:Assist HR Manager and COO with the day-to-day employee relations by performing routine clerical duties in support of the business with a high-level of confidentiality.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Organize and maintain personnel records.
- Establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with internal and external customers.
- Manage candidate correspondence with temp agencies.
- Prepare new hire packets for onboarding, benefits enrollment, and training.
- Assist with new hire onboarding.
- Liaising with recruitment (Temp) agencies
- Assist with HR documentation updates.
- Maintain knowledge of the Company’s policies and procedures.
- Maintain all filing for HR and COO operations
- Answer employee’s queries about HR-related issues.
- Follow up with administrative personnel or employees.
- Ability to prepare routine administrative paperwork.
- Ability to work individually as well as part of a team.
- Publish and update job ads on ATS and Career page.
- Schedule interviews for Managers as needed.
- Operate a variety of office equipment such as computer, copiers, and phone.
- All other duties as assigned.
Organizational Relationships
- This position reports to the Human Resources Manager with a dotted line to COO.
- In the event of absence, this position is covered by the Human Resources Manager.
Minimum Job Requirements
- One year of admin experience in human resources or business personnel environment. At least an Associate degree in Business Management, Human Resources, or relevant field.
- Basic computer knowledge (MS Office applications)
- Ability to effectively communicate both verbally and written with both internal and external individuals in a professional and efficient manner.
- Ability to read and write English.
- Knowledge of payroll data systems.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills with an ability to prioritize and multi-task.
- Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) and Survey Implementation knowledge.
- Ability to pass onboarding requirements (i.e. background check, drug test, assessment, etc.)
- Possess and maintain a valid driver’s license.
- Position requires the ability to assist the needs of employees within two facilities.
Working Conditions and Physical Effort
Position requires prolonged sitting, standing, walking, reaching, twisting, turning, kneeling, bending, squatting and stooping in the performance of daily activities. The position also requires grasping, repetitive hand movement and fine coordination in preparing reports using a computer keyboard. May require handling of objects that can weigh up to 40 lbs. Additionally, the work is normally performed in a typical interior office but may require some manufacturing/warehouse environment.
