The Rental Assistance Specialist will provide financial assistance through the HE System from the State of WI to eligible applicants in our 4 county service area. Following program policies, the Rental Assistance Specialist will review applications, determine eligibility according to program policies and procedures, issue payment to landlords as well as utility companies and make appropriate referrals to community supports as needed.

From homelessness to supportive housing, Lakeshore CAP provides housing programs, support, and solutions to address the housing needs in our community. The Outreach Support position works with the Program Director and Outreach Coordinator as well as other local agencies to oversee all aspects of a system that prioritizes individuals and families experiencing homelessness for housing opportunities and programs that reduce barriers to housing. This includes providing technical assistance, coordinating, and participating in meetings pertinent to coordinated entry.

Applicants must possess a valid driver’s license and proof of car insurance. Mileage for traveling to work-related events and meetings is reimbursed by the agency.
Applicants must be willing to complete a background check in accordance with local law and regulations.
Job Type: Full-time. This position will be 20 hours Rental Assistance Specialist and 20 hours Supportive Housing Support.
