Responsible for standards' establishment, staff training, schedule/resource coordination, workflow inspection, inventory maintenance and equipment supplies. Being a Housekeeping Supervisor may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Housekeeping Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. To supervise work activities of cleaning personnel to ensure clean, orderly and attractive rooms in hotel.

Essential Responsibilities:
· Obtains list of vacant rooms which need to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges in order to prepare work assignments.
· Assigns workers their duties, and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
· Advises manager, desk clerk, or admitting personnel of rooms ready for occupancy.
· Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
· Issues supplies and equipment to workers.
· Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.
· Examines rooms, halls, and lobbies to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management.
· Screens job applicants, hires new employees, and recommends promotions, transfers, or dismissals.
· All other duties as assigned by Executive Housekeeper.
Skills and Abilities:
· Analyze and interpret policies established by administrators.
· Understand the government regulations covering business operations.
· Make business decisions based on production reports and similar facts.
· Bilingual; must speak fluent English and Spanish
· This position requires a hands-on approach (move, lift, carry, push, pull, and handle objects weighing less than or equal to 50 pounds without assistance). You will be on your feet and moving with purpose (stand, sit, or walk for an extended time).
