Housekeeping Supervisor jobs in Lowell, MA

Bear Mountain at Sudbury, a 142-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center seeks an enthusiastic and experienced housekeeping/laundry supervisor to join our awesome team.  The right candidate will have proven environmental services management experience, preferrably from a long-term care or hospital setting. The candidate will possess proven communication skills and  demonstrate the ability to effectively manage the housekeeping and laundry staff members.  It is preferred that this supervisor is bilingual, and can effectively communicate in English as well as Portuguese.

Duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• interviewing, hiring, orientating, training and disciplining staff members
• Developing and implementing individual work assignments and staffing schedules for all housekeepers and laundry aids
• Perform daily facility rounds to ensure that the facility is clean and that work assignments are completed
• order equipment, supplies and linens based on facility needs
• oversee floor and carpet care operations, providing support as needed
• oversee laundry operations, ensuring that adequate supplies of linen are clean and delivered in a timely manner
• Monitor all housekeeping and laundry equipment for proper functioning, reporting any needed repairs to administration
