Housekeeping Supervisor supervises the daily operations of a housekeeping services department to ensure offices, patient/guest rooms, facilities, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Responsible for standards' establishment, staff training, schedule/resource coordination, workflow inspection, inventory maintenance and equipment supplies. Being a Housekeeping Supervisor may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Housekeeping Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. We are home of the World’s Largest Truckstop, and NOBODY takes more pride in a clean facility than Iowa 80! Iowa 80 Truckstop is looking for a talented and high-energy Shift Supervisor to oversee people, processes and help lead a close-knit team of hard-working Housekeepers.
This position will work closely with an elite team that cleans and maintains one of the highest volume travel stop and largest landmarks in Iowa, the World's Largest Truckstop.

Responsibilities- Provide quick, efficient, and friendly customer service, with the willingness to go the extra mile.
- Manage situations in a high paced environment that will require multi-tasking with customer service being the number one priority.
- Supervises and trains employees and resolves any coverage issues.
- Monitors team members performance of daily duties
- Delegates tasks and jobs to team members in a fair and efficient manner. Create list of tasks to be completed in the absence of a supervisor.
- Assist and give input to management regarding team member reviews.
- Keeps premises of the building in a clean and orderly condition.
- Cleans rooms, hallways, lobbies, bathrooms, shower, lounges, corridors, stairways, sweep and scrubs floor.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 3 months related experience and/or training
- 3 months supervisory experience or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Ability to deliver the highest customer service standards.
- Must relate well with others and be willing to help customers and fellow employees when needed.
- Communicates effectively.
- Expresses and generates enthusiasm about the company.
- Dresses according to company policy and presents themselves in a professional manner.
- Arrives on time for shifts and follows company call-in procedures.

Working Conditions- While performing this job employees will regularly stand, walk, use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls.
- The employee frequently is required to walk and reach with hands and arms.
- The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
- The employee must be able to regularly lift and or move up to 50 pounds.
- Must be able to operate powered equipment such as a floor scrubber, and vacuum cleaner.
- The employee may be needed to assist handicapped customers and be certain that they’re needs are met.
