Housekeeping Supervisor supervises the daily operations of a housekeeping services department to ensure offices, patient/guest rooms, facilities, and other specified areas are kept in a clean and orderly condition. Responsible for standards' establishment, staff training, schedule/resource coordination, workflow inspection, inventory maintenance and equipment supplies. Being a Housekeeping Supervisor may require a high school diploma or its equivalent. Typically reports to a manager. The Housekeeping Supervisor supervises a small group of para-professional staff in an organization characterized by highly transactional or repetitive processes. Contributes to the development of processes and procedures. Thorough knowledge of functional area under supervision. Maintain cleanliness standards of the Hotel in all areas of the Hotel. Effectively manage Housekeeping staff to accomplish daily tasks of the Housekeeping operation. Act as liaison between the operating departments of the Hotel, Front office, Engineering and Housekeeping. Understand operating goals of the hotel. This position will normally function as a Housekeeping Supervisor two (2) days per week and as a Room/House Attendant for the other three (3) days per week). The candidate may fill more days as a supervisor as needed.
