House Supervisor provides oversight for multiple hospital departments in the absence of unit management. Addresses patient care, staffing, and any other issues that may arise. Being a House Supervisor supervises nurses and staff and takes administrative responsibilities and ensures adequate staffing for the oncoming shift. Handles occurrences during the shift, ensuring appropriate documentation and communication. Additionally, House Supervisor determines the issues to be referred to the Administrator on call. Collaborates with patients, family members and physicians to ensure needs are met and problems are resolved. Typically requires a bachelor's degree of nursing. Typically reports to manager or head of a unit/department. Requires certification as a registered nurse (RN). The House Supervisor manages subordinate staff in the day-to-day performance of their jobs. True first level manager. Ensures that project/department milestones/goals are met and adhering to approved budgets. Has full authority for personnel actions. To be a House Supervisor typically requires 5 years experience in the related area as an individual contributor. 1 - 3 years supervisory experience may be required.     POSITION SUMMARY
    This position reports to the Residential Services Administrator and under their direction shares responsibility for the daily operation of the AFC group home. In addition to providing supervision, protection, and assistance with personal care to the residents in the home, the House Supervisor provides direct supervision of shift supervisors (if applicable) and other direct support professionals in the home.

    EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE

    • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent
    • LPN preferred

    COMPETENCIES

    • Must be at least 18 years of age
    • Willingness to obtain all the qualifications of a direct support professional and shift supervisor.
    • Have at least one year experience working with the population being served.
    • Able to collaborate and work as a team with others determined by the residents Individual Plan of Service.
    • Able to meet or support the physical, emotional, intellectual, cultural, and social needs of each resident.
    • Able to handle emergency situations.
    • Able to complete any required reports and following written and verbal instructions.
    • Able to manage and coordinate home including basic office skills, house utilities and repair needs.
    • Able to supervise, monitor and train staff and volunteers working in the home; including scheduling, reporting and assessments.
    • LPN PREFERRED

    HOURS & PAY

    • Full-time available
    • 1st shift or 1st/2nd shift split available
    • Pay is based on experience
